A few words from Laura about her Quello experience

I’d been to a few other bridal boutiques before visiting Quello, but this one felt different. It was calm and relaxed; essential ingredients for the most daunting shopping trip of my life. The one-to-one appointment meant there were no other brides in the boutique at the same time. Charlotte welcomed us and was very attentive, but I appreciated her giving my mum and me space to look through the gowns on our own; there was no pressure and no pushiness. She also had a great selection of shoes and accessories to try on the dresses properly and get a real feel for how they would look.

I had a very specific idea in mind about the dress I wanted. While I’d found dresses I liked at other shops, somehow they all felt like a compromise on my dream dress. And so many of them were mass produced in a far-flung location somewhere around the world. At Quello, each dress felt unique. I found the perfect dress for me – and I knew it instantly. And not just that, but it was by a British designer and made in the UK. When I told Charlotte my wedding was in just 8 months’ time, her reaction was also incredibly refreshing – no sharp intakes of breath like I’d seen in the other shops! She had a really “can-do” attitude.

When the dress arrived, I thoroughly enjoyed going for my fittings. It felt very much like going to visit friends, I was a bit disappointed when the fittings were all done and I took the dress home! Quello’s seamstress is very talented and she listened carefully to the adjustments I asked for.

I didn’t touch the dress again until my wedding day, and I was so excited about wearing it. It was absolutely magical. I felt like a trillion dollars. Adam was blown away when I stepped into the ceremony room with my dad. The dress received so many compliments. It stayed looking stunning for the whole day and night, even after an outdoor wedding reception and dancing until 4am!

Since then, I’ve had the dress cleaned and repaired through Quello, and it’s been boxed up beautifully. But some time soon I’m probably going to cave in and get it out to wear around the house!

Charlotte and Juliette, thank you so much – you were wonderful.
